Our focus encompassed five influential cities in the United States: New York, Los Angeles, California, Chicago, and San Francisco. In this blog, we delve into the analysis findings, providing a comprehensive understanding of the hiring landscape for generative AI across these major US cities.



Data Attributes

The dataset used for the analysis consists of 259 records and the following fields extracted from indeed.com

  1. job_link: It is the address of a particular job on the web.

  2. job_title: It specifies the designation of the job posted.

  3. company_name: It is the name of the company which has posted the job opening.

  4. company_location: It is the location where the company is situated.

  5. salary: It provides the annual average salary that the company is offering for the specified job opening.

  6. job_type: It specifies whether the job is full-time, part-time or others.

  7. rating: It is a rating of the company given by the company employees.

  8. searched_job: It specifies the job keyword we used to search for the job on the Indeed website.

  9. searched_location: It specifies the location keyword we used to search for the job on the Indeed website.


Now, let's move on to our analysis.


Data Analysis

In the field of generative AI, there are a total of 259 job openings across five major cities in the US. These are provided by 141 different companies, which shows the growing demand for skilled professionals in the Generative AI domain. Now, let's analyze the job openings by the company and location.

As discussed earlier, the 259 job openings are provided by 141 different companies. The top companies ranked by the number of job openings and the number of job openings in each of them are visualized in the given graph.

  • Meta has the highest job opening across five cities in the field of generative AI. It indicates the growing importance and evolution of generative AI.

  • The next company with the highest job opening is EvenUp Inc (11) followed by Apple (8), NVIDIA (8), SambaNova Systems (7).
